Over 500,000 Oklahomans are at risk for hunger. Oklahoma is one of the hungriest states in the nation - ranking among the top five in food insecurity. One in five of all Oklahoma children are at risk of hunger on a daily basis. One in three children live at or below the poverty level. The average household served by the Food Bank is a family of three with one adult working one, sometimes two, jobs. The average annual income of this family is only $11,440.
